One of the most important traits to be learned by your puppy is obedience. When your puppy obeys your simple request, it also shows his compliance of respect to you as his owner. It will surely gain the admiration of your peers because it will show your pet’s intelligence and wide understanding of things. Training a puppy to be one is not that easy. There are some effective ways to puppy obedience training. Obedience training is an easy way to establish the social ladder. One important thing to be kept in mind is to always reinforce positively all desirable behaviors to your puppy. If having some undesirable issues involving your puppy, there are some methods to correct it. You do not have to punish him physically. A simple gesture showing that you did not like what he just acts is enough to let your pet know that he did unpleasant moves. Then if your pet will be able to do the basic commands, it will be the right time to progress to a more advanced training. Make use of obedience training a daily part of your life. There are commands such as ‘sit’, ‘lay down’ and ‘stand’ which we can use in our daily situations. Make use of repetition to establish the proper learning. By teaching those commands everyday will make your pet memorize what to do.

It is important to remember that as a leader, you should be consistent with the commands you use. It may be confusing for the puppy if you’ll be using different terms in your training. If you have a family, make sure that your family is also aware of it. It is because by using different methods, you would probably end up a totally confused puppy.  You should also practice the effective communication in instructing your puppy what you want him to do. Learn to practice on how to be an effective leader before hoping for an obedient puppy. Animals and humans actually share a special communication wherein they can understand each other’s gestures and actions. No need to burst out words. Puppy obedience training is a really fun activity especially when you already see the product of your hard work as a trainer.
